From the moment I met these two at their engagement session at Goodwood Museum and Gardens, I knew their wedding was going to be amazing. There was a sort of ease between the two of them- they genuinely seemed to enjoy being together and I was just getting to tell the story.
Jordan + Karl were married on a beautiful Friday in March at The Gathering Place in College Town in Tallahassee, FL. This is a new venue in the area and I hadn’t shot there before- so I was so excited to get super creative throughout the day.
The girls got ready in super cute Air BnB before heading to The Gathering, while the guys fueled up at Cooshs Bayou Rouge restaurant in College Town. Lydia Davis with Haus of Beauty was amazing with all the girls makeup, as Amanda Blass from Soliel 7 Salon killed the hair! I took one my favorite getting ready shots as Lydia sprayed Jordan’s face a final time before heading to the venue.
J + K chose to do a first look- so we were able to get SO many portraits finished ahead of time. Their bridal party was a blast! I don’t know if I’ve ever laughed so much during formal portraits before. Thank you to the bridal party, and to Jordan and Karl, for trusting me as we shot in the parking garage, against a fun side wall of Urban Outfitters, in the middle of Madison Street and other (what I am SURE seemed strange) locations.
I loved Jordan’s powder blue, white, and navy palette- the bridesmaid dresses looked beautiful against the College Town backdrop.
Their ceremony was inside The Gathering, against the beautiful brick walls and large windows lining the inside of the room. We could not have asked for better weather- so we were able to have most of the reception outside- which proved for some great natural light dancing shots!
Nate from Amplify DJs brought the party, as usual!
