Another homecoming this past week! This is just so exciting. I love being able to shoot families predeployment sessions and then when their soldier comes back again. It’s so amazing to record how much the kids have grown, what had happened in their lives during deployment, etc.
This sweet family had their predeployment session on a very hot day in June of last year! She was still pregnant with #3 at that time, we spent the session laughing and just enjoying family time together.
Fast forward 9 months, her husband Seth was finally on his way home! This is always one of my favorite types of homecomings– when daddies get to meet their children! Little Andrew is just so sweet, I was so excited to watch his dad as he held him for the first time!
Finally a warm homecoming! It was in the upper 70’s a little breezy, but dark.
Cooper field is always lit up so nicely. You could hear the excitement of the crowd all the way from the parking lot!
The boys faces were just so full of JOY when the buses pulled up. They knew their daddy was SO close.
We had to hold on to sweet Tyler, he almost took off running towards the guys when they walked out from behind the buses.
As the crowd charged forward, we stayed back, waiting for Seth to find us. Before we knew it, he came walking out of the crowd. Tyler could not contain his excitement. He took off running arms open and jumped into his daddy’s arms.
Daddy meeting his son for the first time.
My heart is so happy to see you all back together again. Welcome home Seth!
