I met Morgan + Cody in downtown St. Petersburg a few weeks ago for their engagement session with their pup, Max. As I was driving from Clearwater south towards St. Pete, the skies turned were turning dark and I could see patches of rain and lightning in the distance. As I arrived downtown, Florida did it’s thing- it POURED for about a half hour. I’m so glad that Morgan + Cody stuck in there with me- we waited out the storm (thanks to some advice from my trusty weatherman hubby) and had some gorgeous weather!
I cannot WAIT for their wedding in Fort Myers next year. Their outfit choices were perfect and complimented each location that we used.
We got started a little late because of the rain, and our last location was about a 20 minute drive from downtown St. Pete. We jumped in the car and raced to Fort Desoto. By the time we got there, they had closed the area we originally planned on shooting. We pulled into a parking lot and Cody spotted a small trail through what looked like woods (you could see water in the distance). We wasted no time in running towards the water.
My little photographer heart was swooning as soon as we reached the ocean. The trees opened up to a gorgeous beach + view of the Sunshine Skyway Bridge. Best of all- there was not a person in sight! Normally with beach shooting you figure on having to work around normal beach goers, but we had this gorgeous place to ourselves.
Morgan + Cody, your love + connection is so beautiful and I can’t wait to work with you next year!
