I love homecomings. Love them. I’ve shot many over the past couple of years, but I have to say, one of my favorite homecomings to shoot is when daddy gets to meet their new little one for the first time. I met sweet Marissa back a few months ago to do her newborn photos. Daddy unfortunately was deployed and was unable to be at the session.
Fast forward a few months—I got the call that Daddy was on his way home from his deployment! I was more than happy to meet Marissa and little baby Aria at the West Fort Hood Gym, super late (as always) on a warm July evening.
Miss Aria was not entirely sure what to think of my camera in her face at 1 am.
This was one of the fastest homecomings I’ve ever shot. Before we knew it, they announced that the buses were pulling up to the gym, and in the soldiers walked!
Welcome home! <3
