I met Mary a few years ago when she first hired me for a photoshoot. Eventually, after many more shoots, including her husband’s surprise proposal, & homecoming, we became very close friends! I was thrilled when she told me that her and her husband had decided to adopt. We wanted to figure out a very special way to announce to the world that they were going to do so.

You see, Mary shares my love of Dunkin Donuts. She is the person who was normally in the passenger seat once or twice a month when I would drive to Austin. Just for Dunk. One day we were shopping and we found the sippy cup you’ll see below. We knew without a doubt that we had to incorporate it into their adoption announcement shoot.

In addition to Mark & Mary, I have another close friend who is also adopting- so I have learned more about adoption in the past six months that I ever thought I would. It’s been so amazing to watch Mark and Mary on their journey, from the beginning stages to these last few days where they will be matched (asap, hopefully!). I am so excited to continue their story, but here is the beginning.
