Surprising to some, outside of wedding and portrait photography, I also do a good amount of documentary and event photography. It was an incredible honor to photograph the investiture of Justice Meredth Sasso in January – the third Florida Supreme Court Investiture that I’ve photographed.

Besides just taking photos at an event, I really love to take almost a wedding day approach when documenting it. How can I tell the story of what’s happening in a visually pleasing way? I document not only the main part of what’s happening (for example, the speakers, the main action), but I look for the little moments as well – the young son who fell asleep on the floor, the proud grandfather smiling in the crowd, the emotional parents looking at their daughter filled with pride.
