{The J Family} A Homecoming Story| Fort Hood Homecoming Photographer

I had the chance to work with Amber and Wyatt during my Christmas mini sessions this past year. I was thrilled when Amber contacted me last minute to see if I was available to shoot their homecoming at the airport! It was a dreary & cold Texas day, but no weather could wipe the smile off Amber’s face!

Sweet boy was fast asleep in his stroller.

Before we knew it, it was time to wake Wyatt and prepare to watch the plane land.

It’s amazing to me how intuitive the little ones can be. We woke him up and put him up to the ledge to look out onto the tarmac. And without hesitation Wyatt (13 months) starts going “Da, Da, Da, Da, Da, Da, Da.”

I think in some small way, he knew.

After a short delay we spotted the plane in the sky.

We waited anxiously by the gate.

And then this.

This is the moment when she spotted her husband for the first time, in person, for 9 long months.

And although it seemed at the time like forever, he was soon in her arms.

And just like that, everything is whole again.

Welcome home.
